With many decades of propeller design experience under our belt, Hung Shen is able to design and manufacture propeller that best suite your vessel. Using our inhouse design software and CFD modelling for verification we can optimize our design to meet every client’s needs. Working with National Taiwan Ocean University we continue to research and develop new propeller. These newly designed propellers are then tested and verified at National Taiwan Ocean University’s cavitation tunnel. ?
The result of many years of R&D include our NEW Silent Propeller (NSP) series. Using 4 or 5 blades design has been shown to dramatically reduce propeller induced vibration and noise. The new foil blade section design makes the propeller blade less sensitive to cavitation when operating in the non-uniform inflow common to yachts, ferries and warships. The NSP series propeller can reduce ship vibration level by approximately 50% and cabin noise level by around 3 dB (A) for luxury yachts. At the same time, the NSP series propeller can improve propeller efficiency for high-speed craft. Vessel speed can be increased by approximately one knots for ships with maximum speed over 30 knots.
